I'm not sure how I feel about this short story. I totally understand the ending. But it happened too abruptly for me. I think I would have preferred more introspection from Henry after arriving at his destination. Loved the premise of the story but, in my opinion, the ending needed to be fleshed out just a bit more.Product details

Nothing much to it.
Liked it very much.
This story was short and sweet but very interesting. I wish it had been longer, I was disappointed when it ended so soon.
It began so very interesting! I started to read it, was totally caught up in it, thought it adorable so I told my husband he had to hear it, started it over, reading aloud, both of us completely interested in it and bang, it ended! How lousy was that! We were extremely disappointed, both of us! Dreadful idea!
This is a well written piece, which I appreciate. It gives the reader great description and much to think about, which I find a must in a good story. It will stay with me and tantalize my imagination, which makes it great. Thank You Mr. Gardner, please keep writing.
A short story about an important life lesson, told with a touch of The Twilight Zone. The story takes place almost entirely aboard a train, which, in itself, seems to be a metaphor for where we're going in life. Henry, a middle-aged guy taking work with him on a pleasure trip meets Isa, a strange little girl, who asks him questions he doesn’t really have good answers for. Don’t want to give away too much, but I enjoyed the story and its message.
This is a cute little story. Henry is an overworked accountant who seems to not believe in recreation or getting away from work. Isa is especially cute, she makes a suggestion that Henry follows. This story is interesting take on the inner child. I highly recommend the story and will read more from this author.
